According to the organisers, Sheer City brings together a number of established nightlife collectives and promoters, including Sub Sahara, The Death of Glitter, Tropical Disko, CTEMF, Mila Rose & Friends, and Bridges for Music. The programme combines international and South African artists, DJs and performers, with a focus on underground electronic music and club culture.

The confirmed artist lineup includes Horse Meat Disco, Freudenthal, Ante Perry, Tama Sumo and Lakuti, Make A Dance, Flemish.Fetish, Esa and Thor Rixon, alongside more than twenty local artists. The organisers have stated that the event is intended to reflect the diversity of Cape Town’s nightlife ecosystem, with participation across multiple racial, gender and creative identities.

Each venue will host a distinct programme across different time slots, ranging from daytime sessions through to late-night performances. In addition to the main Saturday programme, a Sunday offering titled Sheer City Simmer Down will take place at Texas and Harringtons, featuring house and Afro-centric music selections curated by Bridges for Music and Sub Sahara, with Esa confirmed as a headline performer.

Tickets for Sheer City are available online, with prices starting from R200.

The organisers have positioned Sheer City as an inaugural edition, with the stated intention of establishing an annual inner-city event rooted in collaboration between independent promoters and creative communities operating within Cape Town’s nightlife and cultural sectors.
